Maybe a blame game between managers and unreconstructed academics is not the way to go if so . . . but I like the idea of re-imagining our institutions. What is the nature of the crisis? Is it about the valuing of what can be quantified over anything that can't, or about a confusion of information with knowledge, or a tension between economic and academic aspirations? Is there a crisis in scholarship?
