Nice to note that our readership continues to rise. Welcome to all newcomers, I hope you'll stay with us. This past week the US has pulled ahead in terms of accesses to the site and more and more of you are coming in directly to the front page or through the RSS feed subscription. That's good to see.

Remember that these are just random thoughts on the topic of higher education and are a personal view only. However, I normally make at least two posts a week and try my utmost to obtain original references for news items/stories as well as passing on details of relevant books.
