SRHE 2007

Several of us here in CELT are getting ready to head off for the SRHE 2007 Conference next week in Brighton. The programme is so large I have not yet got a sense of what might be the highlights, but I will try to blog here a few times as the proceedings unfold. I am interested to see the FAAB Collective in action: a feminist academic group who apparently do a song and dance routine on performativity in higher education, and who will be performing for us on Tuesday evening. Given that I know some of these women fairly well, and had no idea they are closet amdram fanatics, I will be watching with interest. Will they actually make topics such as managerialism, efficiency and quality assurance in higher education amusing?
