Free higher education returns to Scotland
The Scottish Parliament has just (today) passed a bill removing the 'graduate endowment,' which was essentially a fee. The SNP Government's Education Minister, Fiona Hyslop (pictured) strongly argued (on the BBC this morning) that there is a fundamental right to free education:
