The Doctoral experience - Oxford style?
There's a scathing article in today's Guardian about the experience of doctoral students in Oxford, in which it is claimed that advice and support are minimal, with yearly progress reviews taking five minutes per student and with overseas students feeling that their role is little more than financial. There's a call for student representation on committees and a "bill of students' rights".
