Tony Curzon Price has an interesting article in openDemocracy this week on Google and its impact on knowledge. Worth a read and by suggesting it I'm acting in the spirit of his "community" that sifts and makes sense of the information flood.
your link, of course, contributes to the google rank of my article - we won't be identified as a "community" until, somehow, the technology allows the opendemocracy site to determine something about your community - teaching, education etc - and relating it to its own. information about readers, authros, people we like in common, etc.
The 9th Galway Symposium (June 10/11, 2011) was on student engagement and more details/recordings will be posted here in due course.
Welcome
