Summa cum laude

We now have a title for our event on 5 and 6 June: 'Critical Thinking: The Galway Symposium on the Future of Universities'.

We are also getting our speakers lined up. They include Professor Mary Evans from the University of Kent at Canterbury who wrote the book 'Killing Thinking' and we have Professor Mike Shattock from the Institute of Education, London whose most recent book is 'Managing Successful Universities' .

In between our plenary sessions, which we hope will raise some provocative questions about the role of universities in the 21st Century, we will run parallel workshop sessions on key issues led by expert facilitators. More details will be revealed as we progress with our plans . . .
